ROADE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Curriculum

At Roade Primary School we believe in providing children with a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum which is designed to cater for children at their level, whilst preparing them for what is to come.  We want children to thrive both in school and beyond.

Children’s achievements are celebrated at every stage.  We maintain a culture of positively and celebration to ensure that children know their contribution is valuable and meaningful.  Children need to feel inspired to learn, so that they want to explore topics further.

Curriculum Values at Roade Primary School

At the heart of our curriculum aims is diversity.  Children are actively encouraged, in all areas of the curriculum to explore differences and how they impact the world in which we live.  We encourage children to look at different topics and ideas from varied viewpoints so that they develop an enriched approach to the wider world.

We encourage all of our learners to be ambitious.  We want them to strive to be the best that they can be.  It does not matter if they make a mistake! They will be brave and always try their best

We want our learners to be creative.  To experiment, find out what will work, find out what will not work.  To enjoy exploring subjects in different ways; encouraging them to find out how they like to learn for the future.
